Our CDs and MP3s must be listened to through headphones in order for the brainwave technology to have an effect, but any headphones with a frequency range of 20Hz–18,000Hz or broader will work just fine. Most inexpensive headphones (under $20/pair) can reproduce at least that range or better, so you won’t need to purchase any expensive equipment. Inexpensive headphones capable of handling a broad frequency range are available in large retail stores and through many online retailers such as Amazon.com.
